J & M Farms
We have been married 35 years, and in that time, we have raised four wonderful children, two boys and two girls. In the past several years, all our children have married and thus added four more kids into the family, and we're excited that we're now starting to add grandchildren as well!
Having both been raised on farms, it was only natural that we would also raise animals ourselves. Along with other animals, we have been raising pet rabbits for many years, and in 2000, we decided to expand that venture into the meat rabbit market. From there, our markets have naturally expanded as we have seen the need. From our original plans of raising meat for human consumption only, we have added many customers who use rabbits for their snake food, hawk food, and other pet food. We also compost the manure and market that to nurseries. Recently we have added sheep, goats, and chickens to our operations, providing naturally fed lamb and chevon, and pasture fed chicken to buyers.
You can find us at our farm just outside Lethbridge, ready to provide you with farm fresh free range eggs, frozen rabbit, chevon, and lamb, rabbit manure compost, and much more! We sell our products locally from our farm, and we also ship products throughout Canada and the U.S.
All our products are raised naturally, with no growth hormones or antibiotics - just plain, ordinary fresh country air and sunshine, with quality feed and water and lots of tender care!
In 2002, we had the opportunity to add raising small dogs to our operation. We now breed several types, including Yorkshire Terrier, Toy Poodle, and Mini Schnauzer.
We haven't done this on our own. We have been led by God and have had so much help from our children, both in setting up our farm and continuing in our operation. Without them, we couldn't have done it! Our children have certainly been a blessing to us. We feel blessed to have been given this opportunity and realize that besides the effort we put into each day, it is God blessing those efforts that make it work.
Thank you for visiting our website. Farm life has always been and will always be our way of life, and we are glad to be able to share that with you.
